Zur Gewinnung einer zus\u00e4tzlichen Wohnung und der energetischen Sanierung des Bestandes wurde das urspr\u00fcngliche Zeltdach abgetragen und durch ein etwas h\u00f6her gesetztes Satteldach ersetzt. Dacheinschnitte lie\u00dfen gro\u00dfz\u00fcgige Terrassen entstehen, die zusammen mit den gro\u00dfen Fenstern in den Giebelfl\u00e4chen die Wohnung mit Licht durchfluten und zudem herrliche Ausblicke auf die Mendel und das Etschtal offenbaren. Anspr\u00fcche des Bauherrn und der Gemeinde an das Dach (Eindeckung mit M\u00f6nch und Nonne, Dach\u00fcberstand, \u00dcberdachung der Balkone) f\u00fchrten zu der etwas eigenwilligen Dachform, die dem Geb\u00e4ude seinen individuellen Charakter verleiht. Die hellgraue Fassade reiht sich auff\u00e4llig unauff\u00e4llig in ihre Umgebung ein. Das historische Motiv der gemalten Fensterrahmen wird bewusst eingesetzt, um die kleinen Fenster optisch gr\u00f6\u00dfer erscheinen zu lassen und dem Geb\u00e4ude seine hermetische Verschlossenheit zu nehmen.
