In der historischen Altstadt von Bozen gelegen, reagiert das Geb\u00e4ude spezifisch auf die umgebenden Bedingungen. Das Projekt sah die Sanierung und Erweiterung eines Teils des kleinteiligen H\u00e4userkonglomerates an der Gerbergasse vor, dessen auff\u00e4lligstes Merkmal die Unterschiedlichkeit der einzelnen Geb\u00e4ude, inklusive einer Ruine, war. Das giebelst\u00e4ndige Haus an der Gasse wurde entkernt, und die Fassade saniert. Die Ruine wurde durch einen in ihren Abmessungen identischen Bauk\u00f6rper mit moderner Formensprache neu interpretiert. Das an den Hof angrenzende Geb\u00e4ude sowie der zentrale Bereich des H\u00e4userblocks wurden um zwei Etagen aufgestockt; die verschiedenen Bauk\u00f6rper wurden durch eine vielgestaltige neue Dachlandschaft nach oben hin abgeschlossen. So entstand Raum f\u00fcr Wohnungen, eine Galerie und ein Atelier. Die bewusst dezenten Materialien unterstreichen die r\u00e4umliche Klarheit und sind eine Hommage an den Gewerbecharakter der fr\u00fcheren Geb\u00e4udenutzung.<\/p>\n
