A green bridge: At the southern entrance to Barbian\/Barbiano, a green wooden building makes a striking statement. The ensemble, which meets the Gold Climate House standard, combines a kindergarten, daycare centre, children\u2019s canteen and tourist office. Two structures: one for educational rooms with a roof play area, the other a tourist office with a lift tower and staircase \u2013 are connected by a bridge that spans the road. On the outside, green-glazed wooden fa\u00e7ades make the building visible from afar, while inside, natural illumination, light-coloured materials and the consistent use of wood create a calm, child-friendly atmosphere. Open learning landscapes with niches and meeting islands create places for play, encounters and retreat.
