Con le sue stazioni di partenza, intermedia e di arrivo, la nuova funivia connette la valle con il comprensorio sciistico di Merano 2000, sostituendo l\u2019impianto precedente ormai invecchiato con uno attuale dal punto di vista tecnologico e del linguaggio architettonico. Il cubo rosso intenso della stazione a monte \u00e8 ben visibile gi\u00e0 dalla citt\u00e0 di Merano; una volta arrivati in cima, dalla piattaforma di arrivo e dal ristorante panoramico si aprono viste fantastiche sul fondovalle meranese e sul paesaggio dell\u2019alta montagna.
La connessione spaziale fra monti e valle si ritrova nel linguaggio delle forme e dei colori: sia la stazione a valle sia quella a monte sono costituite ciascuna da diversi volumi, che accolgono le differenti funzioni di un impianto funiviario. Ai corpi di fabbrica in calcestruzzo faccia a vista si contrappongono le zone d\u2019accesso vetrate e i volumi dalla pelle in lamiera stirata rossa che racchiudono gli impianti funiviari.
I volumi che emergono fungono da landmark: il rosso intenso della pelle di rivestimento costituisce l\u2019elemento identificativo dell\u2019azienda e la loro presenza costituisce un punto di riferimento per sportivi e montanari sia nella stagione estiva sia in quella invernale.<\/p>\n
